“(...) The work with light allows me to create clearly defined and static stituations. It also offers me the chance of fast and radical changes. This has definitely a strong influence on my musical work. Sudden changes, as if I would turn over a switch, the immersion into a certain sound character without any introduction, or the creation of a static appearance are compsitional aspects, which pretty often turn-up in my music(...).
A musical realisation of the graphics was recorded by Michael Vorfeld on April 2008 and released by ESQUILO (www.esquilo-records.com) on December 2008.
(...) The images presented on these pages try to visualise some basic ideas about my sound and light performances. Like a graphic score they provide instructions about the selection and use of percussion and light equipment. Even with their open form they contain information about the light's and sound's characters to be explored as well as their relation with the space. These graphics are partly realized by using photographic techniques while other parts are handmade drawings. (...)".
